I look forward to a great week! It's Read Across America Week and AES has some fun themes throughout the week!
In Math we'll be continuing to work with fractions. Converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa, adding and subtracting mixed numbers, subtracting with regrouping, and problem solving. This is a lot so it may rollover into next week, but at least you know what to expect.
There's only a few weeks until Spring Break :D and several weeks to ASPIRE. I expect you guys to do your best each day, complete class and homework, and come to class prepared. Have a great week!
Below is a video using the "Butterfly Method" to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators. Remember, we must always simplify our answers.
