Extended Spring Break 2020 Lessons, Links, and Work 3-18 thru 3-20

Hi Everyone.

This is my blog and hope that this will help by placing everything in one location.  Official Spring Break 2020 doesn't start until March 23, so the work and links are open until our return on April 6. More work will be added if our break is extended. I will open the blog post for comments, but feel free to contact me via Bloomz for questions. The different colors denote the different sections of topics/sites/resource sections.

The packet link is below. It is not pretty but usuable. The students can read and answer the questions on a separate sheet or complete it online. The same passages are on ReadWorks.

STRIDE-What is Stride Academy? Stride Academy is an adaptive learning program that personalizes learning for every student, based on their needs. Stride Academy uses skill diagnosis to identify each student’s strengths and weaknesses in Math, Reading and Science. Then, the program assigns work to help remediate their skill gaps and gradually introduce them to more challenging content. The goal is to bring each student up to grade-level proficiency on skills and standards they will be tested on at the end of the year.

Stride is a mix of learning and gaming. We use this program regularly and most students like it.
